People that are new to affiliate marketing have to face hard decisions. There are thousands of programs available, and choosing which ones to promote can be difficult. There are thousands of affiliate programs out there. However, it is better to be selective upfront; promoting the wrong type of affiliate programs can cause you to waste a lot of time and miss out on commissions. Here are some tips to help you choose which affiliate programs are right for you:
Keep Your Target Market in Mind
Keeping in mind who your consumer is and what type of products there interested in will help you to focus on an affiliate program that will promote these products that of are interest to your customers and will in turn be of the greatest benefit to you.
You Must Believe in the Product
It doesn’t matter the fame or fortune of a product, if it is something you would not use or would not recommend to your friends or to your family you should not promote it. If you are unsure about the product don’t go forward with it. You want to always promote products that you believe in.
Be Knowledgeable about What your Pay is Based On
When choosing a program you need to know what your pay will be based on. Some programs pay a percentage of actual sales. Others pay for any leads they get from you. It may seem easier to bring in leads than to actually sell a product. However, since the commission on a sale is often much higher than the commission on a lead it may be a better idea to go with sales commission. That way you are able to make more money by only motivating a few people to act rather than having to motivate several hundred people to visit the site and try it out.
Commission Rates
When you are trying to choose an affiliate program don’t focus to much on the big numbers. Sometimes 50% commission sounds great. But if the product you are promoting is only $20 you’ve only made ten bucks. It would be much better to get a 20% commission on a $100 product. So it is important to crunch the numbers before deciding.

While we all like to surf the web, it can be a chore at times. Like everything else in our lives, we like to try and do more than one thing at a time to get as much done as possible. The problem is that before you know it, you have 6 pages open and are clicking back and forth. There is finally a web portal that allows you to keep and use everything on one page and it is called iJango.
iJango is a new web portal that is about to change the way the world surfs the internet. No longer will you have to have several pages open to see different things or use your social networking sites. This web portal allows you to integrate and use them all on a single page.
You can choose other web portals, but none of them have the features of iJango. What they will offer you is a link to your favorite sites, not the ability to actually view or use them. The problem with this is that your screen gets loaded up with multiple pages and your computer slows down because of the memory it takes to run every page.
The other unique feature on iJango is that they have taken the time to load every site and every application that you can think of into their portal. Whether you like CNBC or ESPN, it will be there for you to use. If you use Facebook or Twitter, you never have to leave your home page in order to share. Everything is done right from your page.
Think of the ease of surfing the web now as every time you merely sign on to the net, all of your favorite sites are immediately pulled up on your portal. Your favorite news stories, your favorite web applications and all of your social networking pages are sitting in front of you.
If you consider yourself an organized person, you are going to love this. In reality, how organized can you be with a standard portal. Your favorites are bogged down with site after site and you have to constantly dig through various folders to get to your favorite sites. Now all of the work has been done for you and once you sign on, it is all at your fingertips.
Plenty of portals promise you ease of surfing the web, but few of them actually deliver on what they say they can do. One session on iJango and it is unlikely that you will ever use another portal to surf the web again. Give it a chance and make the web work for you instead of the other way around.
